Made a hunt today and while looking for sign the dogs struck. Put Hank down n he trailed off a few hundred yards and bayed. Got a couple hundred yards from him and it broke. Packed a few pups in and the race was on. Ran a hour and the dogs split. Mike the knife packed in his Jack dog(off Hank) and Crook(Bayou Cajun x Shamrock) Jack and a couple of my pups crossed the rd. right by me and they were all over the hog. Hog was gassed and we sent the bulldog s and they caught him 70 yards off the Rd. Spent the next couple of hours trying to stay with the other race and caught the dogs as they crossed on another lease.

Bayou Cajun Crew deflated the lungs of another one! Nice job. Glad all the dogs came out clean.

That ole hog looks like a track star. That one plott looks like he has some size to him. He has a pretty brindle color too.

Thanks guys. I was pretty surprised that  He was gassed so soon because normally in that area they run like a scalded ape. They get run by deer dogs and hog dogs and if they make it to maturity they are dog wise. We went yesterday with the RBz crew and got out run. My Showtime dog had 17 miles on him when I picked him up.

Man that’s a lot in this humidity and heat! It amazes me that hogs, especially the bigger ones choose to run in this weather. I guess they are educated though and know the odds.
