Well my buddy Kyle is home from playing pro football in Germany. He wanted to hunt and really twisted my arm so we went. When we pulled up, a boar hog ran out of a brush pile right in front of the truck. We cut both bay dogs, Outlaw and a little McDuffie bred gyp of another buddy, out to it. Outlaw bayed him but as soon as she got there the hog left. In nothing flat Outlaw was 900yds so I toned him back in because they were headed in to a big flooded bottom. It was only her third hunt so she don’t have a very good idea about what we are there for but she’ll bay. She wasn’t with outlaw when I toned him back and she of course isn’t tone broke or anything yet. Outlaw came back in and I sent him in the woods south of us. She finally made it back and we had moved over ourselves and she saw outlaw and went with him. He trailed off the hill and crossed a slough. She didn’t cross with him and came back. He got down about 450yds and bayed on the creek bank in some thick stuff. She heard him and went to him. We had gotten over where she could go around the end of the slough. When she got there and started baying, the decided to leave. By this point we were about 150 yds away. She was running along barking behind Outlaw and the hog. We could hear the hog grunting so I knew Outlaw was trying to stop it. I guess he figured he was having too much trouble outrunning them in the brush so he hit the open pasture. Outlaw sucked him up and made him squat and face up. I told Kyle I figured the hog was going to try and run if we walked up on the bay so we sent my Cash dog. He’s very green but he went to them when I sent him. The hog gave him a pretty good shot when he got there and tried to run but within 5-10 yards Cash and Outlaw were eared up. This bulldog is gonna be really nice I think. He’s smart and has really good air and is very heat tolerant I think. He never took a hard breath. He’s also very athletic and built well. He’s still learning what his mark is all that. This was his first solo hog. The hog weighed 217#. That’s not huge but it’s a handful for a young green bulldog. It was a good hunt and good watching. I didn’t get a single picture of the hog after telling myself 3 different times to do it, but I do have a couple of Cash.

Thanks Cracker! Outlaw is definitely one of if not my favorite dog I’ve ever raised but I don’t know that he’s the best one. He’s not yet for sure but he’s always getting better. His litter mates are the same caliber of dogs as him. He’s just a shade different in some aspects style wise. He has a tad more bite, it was too much at first. Hopefully he’s wised up. The others aren’t shy he was just excessive. He is also a little more houndy in the sense that he’s more thorough and he’ll usually decide to grub out a colder track sooner than the others. They’ll hunt and come back to it if they don’t find something else where he’ll usually take it when he smells it. Sometimes that gets him bayed first sometimes it doesn’t. I like it for the simple fact that I don’t feel like he’s moving on past a hog. He’ll grub out what’s been laid up for a while. I thought earlier on that he might be getting hung up in sign but that isn’t it, he usually produces when he does that. They’re all built just alike and same dispositions and they have the same smarts and speed.

Cracker ole Cash is already pretty dang good off leash. We could see this bay when we were coming off the side of the hill and he never once got out of line and he wanted to go. Several times when we were standing around listening he was just laying at my feet not saying a word.

That speaks volumes of what he is gonna be ..  he is thinking about what you want instead of what he wants...  I see him in the pic sniffing out that phone lol..  I dont know if our new dogo male dog is gonna make the cut or not..  He is not showing the signs I like to see but I do cull quicker than what I should sometimes.. LOL...    Good luck with him man,, hopefully he is with you for a long time..

Thanks high water. I hope he is too. He wasn’t an accident. There’s a lot time been spent to produce him. Tells me that they knew what they were doing to produce him. He’s actually more AB than pit on paper.

Good work all the way around. I like a dog that takes his tracks as he finds them. That is good work by the young bulldog. I bet it was nice to see the catch in the open.

T-dog that's pretty exciting to be raising ,working and watching an all time favorite blossom, it really doesn't get any better than that, it makes all the hard work and sleepless nights worth it for sure bud.

T-Dog, that sounds like a fun hunt with some nice dog work too! How is the outlaw dog bred? I’m getting one of the tan male pups off of Raylyn, I’m very excited about getting him going in the woods next year. That catch dog looks nice as well. I bet he makes a nice one if he is already handling so well going in to the bay.

Outlaw is a littermate to Sexsquatch’s Snooter dog. He’s out of Raylynn and Uno which is exactly what you are getting except your pup will be out of Uno’s litter mate brother Yosef. I hope this litter turns out as fun and consistent as the outlaw litter. Yosef may or may not produce but Uno has definitely produced well and the pups out of a third litter mate seem to be really nice so far but they are only about 8-9 months old. They already have lots of go, brains, and made right. I’ve only seen one of them bay and she did good for her first time.
