The hogs are finally making a come back around here since the big freeze. Last year was the worst year I’ve ever had… there were just no hogs anywhere. Caught about a dozen or so this year… one stud off the rice fields. Landowners are starting to see more and more… just letting them rest until it cools off hahaha.

Kelly and his wife came down from Oklahoma to spend the weekend with my wife and I to chase lizards. After relocating a couple of bait thieves, we finally got a 9 footer on the line.

Other than that, we were tearing up the white bass until the lake got too low in this drought. Probably caught 400-500 in the past few months.

Man there use to be a fella named mike on here that had some nice black dogs. Y’all could pass for brothers and even spell your names the same.

That spotted hog is sure enough a man and it looks like y’all have plenty of good eating there with all the white bass.

You probably caught all the hogs around there is why there aren’t any. Cajun does that every now and then and has to wait for outsiders to trickle back in.

Thanks fellas… I’m sure looking forward to some cooler weather and getting these out of shape dogs back in the woods.

T-dog, you remember that scene from Forrest Gump about all the ways you can cook shrimp? That’s how I feel about white bass right now hahaha!

Lol I hear ya! I’d like to hear ole Bubba say “white bass ka-bobs “. You and WOW could maybe make a living together on the fish market. Gotta watch WOW though, he likes to push the envelope on the rules, lol.

Thanks Leon! You need to make a trip down when it cools off and we’ll chase one or two.
