I thought I had till today to get her a brood pen made. Ended up muzzle loading behind the house maybe 50 yards away from her and got to hear her have the first one. We ended with ten pups. Brownie has been a great first time mom and has tended to them very well. I got all their tails docked, but one. I noticed was pretty weak and ended up loosing it the next day. I’ll have y’all take a guess maybe what the majority are considering the colors they came out. Maybe being a partial accidental liter they’ll have the right juju to stay out of traffic, clear of tusk and bullet proof. Either or they got my time and patience. Especially with my old dog ranger being 2/3 of the dams side. Wanted more nose down colder track starting ability but alittle 35 pound mtn cur thrown in there can’t be too terrible. They’re now in a dog loo comfy ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20231028/589b2bf97e87cb463a411dc54c08c435.jpg) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You bred her to the Mt. Cur and to your old dog which is Walker/pit, is that correct?

Ok, I don’t know why I was thinking he had some pit in him. It might be pretty hard to tell which pups are outta which stud without a DNA. It’ll be interesting to see how they turn out.

Haha I know what you mean between buddies dogs and peoples dogs on here it’s hard to keep up. Thinking about holding one back for bobcats if they show interest in treeing.

I have an honest question since it is hard to get a dog that is one third anything, how is it crossed? I hope the puppies make stemwinders.

Generally if there is a day or two between the matings the first male will be the sire but that is not written in stone.

Yeah I’m hoping I’m not coming out as ignorant or dumb haha. Someone asked the same question today on fb. I had asked a teacher cousin of mine and a guy from work. That’s just the answer they gave me and I’ve been running with it. ![](https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20231030/8a5c7d7c3dce54c35e69a9732920ef26.jpg) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No need to feel badly, and I wasn't trying to prove you wrong but was curious how it worked, I could see real easy how to get 3/8 but a 1/3 would be difficult.
