Well the ol buggy is in the shop getting a top end put in it so Justin and myself decided to go back to our roots cast them and just walk from the truck when they bay….needless to say I’m dog tired and we didn’t walk very much haha

Cast Lucy(3) Merle(2) and Clyde(12 months yesterday) and they started easing out Merle and Clyde went left Lucy right well Clyde opened up (he’s a little quick on the draw with that locator bark lol) Merle was about 40-50 yards ahead of him and started hammering they’re at 700 yards and Lucy starts heading to them well by the time we get there Merle and Clyde had killed a shoat and Lucy was over a mile no communication
Merle and Clyde roll over and go 573 yards the other side of the truck and show treed again well we stop by the truck and hook the long range to the garmin Lucy is treed couple miles away so we continue on our way to Merle and Clyde get there and they have a salty boar hog bayed we send Salem the cd puppy and she seals the deal dogs roll over and jump another one race is on so we have the boar a quick Bruce Jenner treatment and walk back to the truck…Lucy still bayed somewhere I had to call and get permission to go get her no answer so we continue on hunting the other dogs driving around trying to get closer Incase they bayed
Long story short Clyde got turned around we caught him and we cut Merle off before he crossed the FM road and finally get up with a guy to go in to Lucy she was bayed 5-5.5 hrs when we called her off the hog from the flooded river bottom wish we’d caught him but overall a great day in the woods!

Clyde and Merle
Only picture of Lucy we got today

Good hunt. I love it when the dogs stay busy and not worried about about what the others are doing. Good boar.

Yessir I love an independent dog, if it’s on a track trying to line one out I don’t want it to quit and honor the other dog because it bays first

Fine hunt man,, From what I see ,, you got what we all need:

1.  A dog that stays bayed for over 5 hrs by itself and
2.  A antenna that picks up over 2 miles ...

Good hunt. With a name like Clyde, that pup is destined for greatness! Sounds like he wants to do it.

My once in a lifetime dog was named Clyde. Him and a dog named Spook are the two dogs that set the bar for me. They are the standard that I judge all other dogs by.

Good boar, sounds like yalls program is going good.I think we're all chasing that "old great ghost" and all we can do is stay the course and hope they show themselves again.
