I can post some fishing stories hahaha! It’s hard to believe that we started this board in 2007… never in my wildest dreams did I think it would last this long. We were getting 2 million page views a month back in its heyday… but then facebook, Instantgram and all that came along. But even the hog hunting pages on those are dying off and slowing down from what I’ve seen. I really believe there are a lot less hog hunters now than back then. I can’t even remember how many people that have come and gone over the years. But as long as everyone is using and enjoying the board, I’ll keep it up and running.

Mike it’s good to hear from you bud. I really miss seeing your posts. I appreciate this site. There are a lot of people on here with a lot of knowledge and experience. I truly believe most everyone on here is in it for the right reasons, not many fad people here. I’m ok with fewer hog hunters too. The dog men and women are going to stay in it unless life doesn’t allow it. They aren’t in it to be cool or macho. They are the ones that take care of their animals and have ethics when hunting (USUALLY). So thank ya for what you do. I know you don’t have dogs anymore but you’re still welcome to come up here and make round with us anytime.

There’s still a few here but I believe all the other platforms definitely put a hurting on the forums. Everyone wants to be the next influencer. We have been trying to close on the in-laws and if another hurricane pushes it back I may just have to open a can on the next storm. 38 years and they don’t bother me but this year damn I’m tired of trying to keep dogs and hogs from flooding or pens from taking flight. We going to hunt public land this year until I can round up some private pieces so we should be getting to it in the next month or 2.

I can see where it would be trying. The good Lord will take care of us, we just have to do our part and nobody said our part was going to be easy, lol.

We’re still here hanging by a thread. I’ve always enjoyed this forum I hope it’s around awhile. Reminds me of the conversations I’d have with the old heads I used to hunt with. Between training deer dog pups, keeping a squirrel dog in shape, and running hogs the world keeps spinning faster
