My company is offering Pet Insurance this year along with our benifits.....My co-workers are teasingly asking if I think they will insure my dogs...lol.... I knew that people got insurance on animals (mainly horses) for valve reasons, but this is the first I've heard about health insurance. Surprisingly, the insurance agency said that probably 50% of their clients use it.
The vet clinic doesn't actually take pet insurance, you would pay up front then be reimbursed.
$300 Annual Deductible; $5,000 Annual Max. 70% Reimbursement; Includes 24/7 Pet Telehealth
Dog (8 weeks to 10 years) $18.36 per pay period (26 pay periods) Cat (8 weeks to 10 years) $9.40
I normally do my own vet work, but I had one bad year a while back that this would have paid off.

That isn’t all bad but nearly $20 a dog would get pretty steep if you have several. I guess though a person could pick and choose which dogs they insured. I wonder if they would insure hunting dogs? Are you going to try it?

I have thought about it. I have friends who have bought dogs from me in Sweden and Norway and they insure their dogs. Not a bad price at all. Do they really cover Hog and bear dogs where the risk is a lot higher?
