They are the number 2. Tim has one. We don’t even hardly run my 100 anymore. Keep it as backup but we never need it. Battery on the 300 will last 24hr or better straight on a full battery.

I think they’re both over priced, neither shows you where the hogs are!

If we could figure out how to cross some garmin collars into some leopard dogs we might have something worth something lmao. Vertical monopolization baby. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You're right about being overpriced.... I've have always bought used equipment, but my company gave me a few good gift cards, so I went for it and bought a new one.
I know we used to hunt without them, but man I sure like the technology!

You will like it, keep your tt-15s till they stop working. New tt25 collars been giving Tim fits.

I have a 200 and get along with it real well, but I am always behind on the newer models by the time I get a 300 there will probably yet a newer one out haha. I do appreciate the Garmin technology, they are dog gathering machines, really don't ever have to leave a dog out in big country unless you just choose to. Personally I have had very few failures with the Garmins beginning with the 320 and 50 collars up to the 200 and tt15's i have now. Recently bought a hound recovery antenna for hunting in the mountains and believe it has even better reception than the traditional long range antennas.

I have two 100’s and I have a habit of running whatever I have till the wheels fall off. I did see one of the newer units here locally a rabbit hunter was using. Not gonna lie, the screen graphics and updating seemed a lot nicer than the 100.

I didn't like the touchscreen on the 100's I had a tendency to overtravel it, I don't need to use the touch screen much on the 200I and for me it is more easily controlled.

you better have a back up! Several are having the same problems. I work on Garmin products for a living. The 300 and the 25’s was a bigger disappointment than the X’s! Mine started out great. Then couldn’t track past .60 then it started dropping about 700 then it got to where you’d have to turn the thing off to a back on to even find the dogs. My dad’s drops them at 100-200 constantly. An sure doesn’t track them out like my 100’s. The 25’s same thing on several different handhelds. They are so sensitive to everything. Liked to have got my bulldog killed cause it dropped at 100 yds and they broke with the bay. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for the info. I will definitely carry a back up.
Has Garmin acknowledged the problem?
I will be using TT-15, are there problems using the TT-15 with the 300?

They are claiming nothing is wrong but anyone that uses a handheld enough can tell other wise. I wanted it to work I really liked mine. But I can’t be using something I can’t trust. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
