With deer season in I am catching up on a few hunts. Me Scotty Needham, Blake Joiner and Larry Smith made a hunt. Scotty and Blake found a really good track and we all put a dog out. It was tough trailing but after about a hour they jumped. Blake’s gyp crossed the road around the bend and she had the big one. We packed to her and left Showtime and Scotty’s gyp running another one. We ran that hog 3 hours before he bayed and we caught him. Toothy boar around 250#. We caught up to Showtime and Scotty’s gyp and they were headed to the road. Good hog crossed 150 yards ahead of us and we packed on him. Ran him another two hours and bayed. He was about 225# with 1 1/2 cutters. Two good races and two good hogs.

Good hogs, and sounds like the hounds were giving it to em. Them knock down drag out races are fun when they put the meat at the end.

Thanks Y'all. Kind of hunt I really enjoy.  Running the air out of them. We sure didnt know there were two of them. Only one set of tracks crossing the road. The bigger one must have got with the other one when they bedded up. To me there is nothing like a good cold trail and then a screaming race with a hog at the end of it. We never paid any attention to Showtime and Scotty's gyp once we knew Blakes gyp was on the big one. That's the one we wanted. It was icing on the cake to find out later that they were running another good boar.
