i have a dog that i thought stepped on something sharp and hurt her foot. she started doing better and running around then she was back to limping. she get better then she goes back to limping again. this has been going on for 2 or 3 months. there will be patches of her pads missing. it started with one foot, now its all of them but not at the same time.  i will get pics up tomorrow. ive had her in a small sandy pen and in a big yard. neither made a difference.

is there any swelling? color change around the foot? If you take her foot and squeeze it all around does she respond with pulling her foot away or an any way shows pain?

I have had a dog grow a cyst between the toes that was intermitent pain for him. It was real easy to find. a small lump between the toes that if you touched it he was in big time pain. It could be worms from the sand getting into her foot. Need a little more information or a picture or two

Need some pics, could be lots of things. Cactus? Spider bite? Is there puss? Is she chewing her pad off or is it sluffing?
