I went to a woods dog bay event Saturday in south Oklahoma, mostly wanted to see some old friends and make some new ones, both objectives were met. This was a no pro dog bay, which is fine by me since my dogs aren’t pro at anything except eating, sleeping and leaving something for me to clean up afterwards.
I entered my 3yo male in the one dog and he and my 8yo gyp in the two dog. My male made a top ten showing out of about 50 entries, but not good enough to be in the money. In the two dog event mine were doing good but my male had 5 loop outs every time the boar charged, so that put us out of the money again.
There were several folks from different parts of Texas a crew from California and it seemed like running hounds and crosses were the most competitive as well as the yellow curs and catahoula. The usual mix, a lot of fine dogs I would feed. I was the only knucklehead dumb enough to bring jagd’s, but the crowd seems to enjoy watching them. I told my wife, people like to see them in the bay pen because it’s like crashes in nascar, there’s a better than average chance of a wipeout. Fortunately for me I didn’t need to patch them up when they were done.
Had a good time, I’ll post it up next year (God willing) if the have it next year.

I went as well. Not to well organized but I had fun with my friend and my dog. They skipped over me and had to make the last run on the one dog. Was going to run in the two dog but just didn’t see the point in it. For the life of me I couldn’t figure how they where judging the few dogs I seen do good didn’t place so I just thought hummm and left lol.

I tryed to give them a pup to take back but they didn’t seem to interested lol. I guess everyone else has the next best thing not the guy trying to give you one lol. I did notice few guys I had seen at bays in the past.

I wanted to go and hopefully see some folks but I was laid up with the Flu. If y’all haven’t had it this year you need to try it. It’s just more fun than I can put into words. I wondered how that was going to play out. I knew they were supposed to judge the dogs differently but wasn’t sure about how. I’ve never been a fan of participating in the bayings but I like to bs with people and listening to them about dogs.

Judge, I wish I knew you had that pup, I would’ve gave him a home. T dog hope you’re feeling better, I’ll take your word for it on how bad it is, I hate getting sick and don’t want it. Here’s my two dog entry, my male and Ruby dog got after one today and ran it for about a half hour through a brushy stream bottom area. I watched them on the garmin go round and round, they did a figure eight, went east, came back west, I heard Chopper barking three different times where I thought he might be closing in and getting ready to stop him, but the hog won the day. Was still fun to watch them improve and stay in the race the way they did. https://rumble.com/v6jda2g-chopper-and-mischa.html

Lol they had him worried about his pride and joy. Ole hog is a bully, he only wanted to chase the little fat kid it seemed like.

TDog, we all had to deal with a school yard bully at sometime in our live, I figure if you can’t punch him in the nose and beat him you ought to be able to style on him like Michael Flatly and River dance on him.
Judge, I’m north of the Red River about 60 miles right off the I-35 in Sulphur
