We were able to make one last trip with Cajun and his crew this past weekend..    If it would do any good I would cry about it being the last round there....  The lizards are coming out pretty good so I can understand why this would be the last round...    I kept seeing way too many of em as long as the gator tail boat we were in ....
It didnt take long for the dogs to start singing on the boats telling us where the hogs were at that morning,,,  Caught some fine boars with a couple dogs getting some love taps but nuthin too serious.. Had a couple young boys with us and they were able to stick their first so that made the trip... The last boar hog we caught made us work for it though,,, it aint suppose to be no briar thickets down in the marsh but I can tell you he found one and it was the kind me and my son had to crawl in on our hands and knees ... them nice green ones that are about as big around as a half dollar.. rip your clothes off by the time you come out ... it took me and him all night to dig em out our scalp.... lol

That month of Feb was a awesome month for me and my son to be able to hunt with Cajun and his folks...  learned alot from them and their dogs..

Sounds like a real memorable trip. Those bad briars stay in your memories.

Highwater  has bragged on my dogs but his dogs and his son Wesley's dogs were there every step with my dogs. You will never ever meet nicer people then Highwater and his son Wesley. It has been a absolute pleasure hunting with them and hope to make future trips as well. You never have to worry about them or tell them where to go. They will be where the dogs and hogs are. I wish we didnt live so far apart. Shoot I would like to adopt both of them but that Wesley sure eats a lot. I would have to put him on a straight Pork diet. lol Wesley, my son travis abnd Grandson Ethen make a heck of a team and Highwater and I didnt hardley leave the boat but let those young guys go thru the mud and slop and bring the hogs back. I think we caught 6 and had a couple of real nice races. my buddy Charley, Lucas and his son were also on the hunt and yes the gators were out.

I love the pictures of those hounds singing on the boat. Cajun your description of Highwater and his boy is the exact picture I had painted in my head. I bet y’all had a heck of a time. You for sure caught some nice hogs.

Another good hunt in the marsh, those hogs look like they've been in the sawgrass.

L to R  Yellow, Cypress and Showtime. Hank is normally on the left but he needed a little time off.  Mt of my dogs rig, some better then others. I know it is really hot when my bulldog starts whining. Yes down there the gators are really bad.
