In your opinion when you have 5 to 20 dogs and its time to worm them all, what do yall use? wormer can get expensive so do yall use a one day cure all wormer or do yall use panacure or strongid that can take 3 to 5 days to worm. I guess what im askin have yall found a wormer that is cheap an can use it in one day and be done till next month. Any info on what yall do when you have alot of dogs would help

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure!  I alternate Strongid and Sagegaurd paste wormers (about an 1" or so on my finger) on the 1st of the month and then I give Ivomec (.3 of CC) on the 15th of every month.  Hope that answered what you were looking for Travis.  Doing it this way I figure it costs me less then $10/month to worm 10 dogs properly....quite a bit cheaper than Heartguard and trips to the vet.

I am using Dectomax injectable cattle wormer ( under the direction of my Vet.) dosage rate of 1 ml/ 100lbs Sub Q. It costs about 50 cents/ ml, so I am spending about 50 cents a head each worming.

IVOMECTRIN IS GOOD YOU USE A 10TH OF A CC PER 10LBS BODY WEIGHT WITH THAT RATIO U CAN USE IT ON PUPPIES ALSO I HEAR IF YOU USE IVOMEC ON A DOG THAT HAS HEART WORMS IT'LL KILL'EM BUT IT ALSO PREVENTS THEM FROM GETTING HEART WORMS. IF U WANT TO KNOW WHATS BEST CONTACT YOUR LOCAL VET. I USE IT.
