I took my Cat pup (Bernie) From Paul (Silvertonboardogs) to see her first hog yesterday... I have got rid of all of mine for the winter and have a neighbor that wanted one of the small hogs from the hog wrestling we had back in July. It will weigh around 70 lbs now... Bernie is around 5 months old and will bay the fire out of the cat and has a decent handle on her. So i walked her up to the hog pen on a lead and uncliped her and she ran over to the fence, sniffed the pig and commenced to bayin like she had done it all her life! I grabbed her up after about 3 circles around the pen and jumped over in there  and put her in the pen... She ran straight to the hog and hit it like a train! right on the nose! It threw her and she went right back in to catch it on the ear. Then the hog threw her again and she would stay right on it head the whole time. barking every breath and nipping at its ears and face.  She is definately goin to be a head dog! LOL! She gave it Heck for about 4 mins and was about to wear the hog out so i went over and she worked it into a corner and i hissed her up and she caught again and legged it and picked her up after i threw it down. I think she would have stayed bayed till she killed that hog or herself!  Grin

I am sure proud of her! Thanks Paul for giving me a chance to own a fine pup and for breeding quality dogs!

Chance id love to have a pup out of ellie. I dont care what color it is!  Grin She was my favorite dog on your place. She is something special for sure! That would make a heck of a combo to go with this cat pup. Im gonna let her get a lil size on her before i put her on cows. But i believe shes gonna turn out. Keep me in the loop on ellie. Are you still thinking about breeding her to that Cowboy dog?

Thats good news Bryson. I kept five of those pups. They have been barking through the fence at some hogs but this week they will git up close and personal as well. One of the other females is on cattle all ready and doing good.

We need to see some PICS!!!!!haha

I put her on those domestic hogs that we had at the benefit this weekend and she hammered on em! They are about 150lbs and she worked em nicely... She had the first one set down on its butt within 30 seconds and it didnt want anymore.... Then the others escaped the holding pen to come to its rescue... They got her in a corner of a barn one time and roughed her up a bit and she got out of em and went at em harder. She absolutely hates a hog...   ill get some pics of her bayin em soon....

Heres a pic of her a few weeks ago doin what she does best...  Grin I absolutely love this pup. I already think she would do anything she can to make me happy....
