Craig, that picture belongs on a Christmas card!

Cward, I like cattle's donkey. I think he'll be really cool with a sliding stop and a spin. Give cattle a couple months with him and I bet that donkey will be the envy of the county. I want a dairy cow too, and I already have chickens. When you and rowdy get his coop built, I'm gonna send him some chickens- the kind that lay green and blue eggs. Have a hen hatching some now. And I have seen cattle in person. He is plenty big enough to whoop you and rowdy for roping his chickens. I think the chickens will be safe.

Krystal, I don't know what we are going to do for you. You have to shave your ass way too often. It seems like every time I talk to you there is about to be shaving going on. This is really becoming a problem.

Matt, you have like a month to get moved, build your pens, build a barn, and get a horse or mule. This will only give you a couple months to get him in shape for our little north texas outing. I think we need to move this process along!

Cheers

I Love seeing everybodys's pictures, Yall dig up some more of them!

Okay heres  a question, Any of yall use "Hinny's" and tell if you find any differences? on ones that you know absolute positive to be bred as a Hinny.

That little Molly of lightningh has that shorter head bigger jaw bone on her, I like that shape.
That jackstock is pretty good looking dudes too they may be slow but I figure them guys are SAFE to ride! A friend of mine has a big blue roan jennet that will get up and stretch out on the trail.

Mandi, you know when you got that much hair on your ass you have to shave it!

What is the purpose of the gray horse in the photo?   Is he part of the race, or in the wrong place at the wrong time?

that is our "Outrider". His job is to throw the stove in the back of the wagon when the gun goes off to start the race and then mount his horse and  catch his team before they cross the finish line. It takes a pretty good cowboy to do that job right... it aint no easy task. and it is sure enough dangerous. you have 4 wagons with wide open out of control animals turning a barrel to face you and run past you. it takes a horse that dont get rattled and a lot of get up and go about it. Lots of the best outriders mount on the fly- Or "pony express em" as some folks call it.

Good Pictures, keep them coming!

Donks and water are not known to go together too well. I do not envy you having to pull them boys across a creek! Spurs don't mean alot to my jennet either, as much as finding that scary thing and have it with you when you need it! Motivation is always a challenge! But man they can be so smart!

Question, where and when are these kind of events going on?

I got to get out more, those rock walls in the back ground sure are neat looking.  Arkansas has some varied terrain I suppose?

That is the truth... and a Donkey is the hardest thing to pull in the world! There is no doubt in my mind that are also one of the smartest animals to ever walk....

The Mule-o games are in Quitman Arkansas. In may.

the National championship chuckwagon races are held labor day weekend in Clinton, Arkansas. It is the largest gathering of horses and mules in the world. over 5500. and 30000 people. It gets wild! Grin

And yes Arkansas has all kinds of different terrain... From Big hardwoods river bottoms to mountains... It aint a bad place at all...
