Me and TXCALLER went out saturday morning and turned the dogs out in an area where we struck hogs before, heading back to the truck Bubba, Curly, and Ranger struck one and were gone, and my pup Goose followed.  Heard them bay up across a canal, by the time we got to the edge of the canal we ran into the other dogs trying to get across it, had to carry catch dogs down the side across the water and back up it, finally turned them loose.  We were in the thickest salt cedars on the place I think when we heard the dogs catch - didn't here a squeel grunt or anything - so I figured it was a good one.  Finally got in the salt cedars where the dogs were and it was a good boar, he kept knocking dogs off, finally dang near every dog we had caught, and worked my way in to leg him, Josh got the stick.  Figured him to be around 230lbs.  Cutters were broke off, but what he had were plenty big.  He was a fighter for sure, and the dogs did a heck of a job with him (had him bayed about 20 minutes before we got there)  My Bubba dog got a little hairlip out of it, and my Charley (catahoula) got hit pretty hard in the gut,  Ole Porchop got his ear pierced, Josh's dog Curly took a lick on the face, other than that no major cuts, takin Charley to the vet in the morning, started pissin blood when I got him home (and real sore).  Other than that had a heck of a time - Everytime we catch a hog there - they keep gettin bigger it seems - Josh and I sometimes wish we'd catch a little one, Ha, ha.

Me, Josh  - Bubba, Ranger, Goose, Charley,

Update on Charlie (my catahoula) - seems to be almost back to normal - a little sore, but he's not urinating blood anymore, and has his appetite back.

Great job nice hog! What did the vet say about when they pis blood? my assumption would be let em take it easy and just made his organs (kidneys) bleed but it will pass, just want to know so i can save myself a vet bill one day, or not take a dog in thats in need of treatment.
