Some dude is selling dressed coons ready to eat on Craigs List Houston. $5 each skinned and cleaned.

I'm not quite there yet, but may get a nerve up shortly.

Cheers

Make sure they leave one foot on or you may get a cat or small dog.. Wink  When we used to sell them the old timers would not buy one w/o feet.

I've heard BBQ coon is good! Try it and let me know. In Oklahoma it is illegal to sell wild game of any kind!

when i was a kid my dad would trade a coon carcis for a truck load of day old bread and snack of all kinds, the guys would always want a foot left on them. i cleaned alot of them but i couldnt wait for the ride home .  i rode on the back on  the way home and i ate like a king  Grin
we would feed all of the stuff thats wasnt any good to the hogs and take the rest in the house. Grin

had an old timer in chadron, nebraska offer me and a buddy a job skinning skunks part time, for ONE DOLLAR per skunk.  Needless to say we turned him down.

I worked at a processing plant last deer season, and a guy brought in a quartered doe in a cooler.  One of the kids that worked there went to get the quarters out of the cooler, but when he opened it the first thing he saw was a coon, minus skin, with eyes still in the feet and tail still attached.  He just about pulled off a backflip and some pretty cool kung fu moves trying to get away from that cooler.  One of the funniest things I've seen in a while.

As long as you have a trappers lic. here in Louisiana you can sell the meat. I still sell them. I'm with dabutcher if you've done enough of them its nothing to clean them. He's a butcher and I'm a taxidermist no problem cleaning them. Wink
