James (Longshot) was coming to Lampasas to meet his cousin for business so we decided to make a hunt while they were here. His cousin, Doug, had been on a dog hunt but they didnt catch much with size. We met out at the ranch about 6:00 pm and had a few toddies and dinner.   Jim had made the rounds and corned feeders and roads a few hours earlier. Drove the dogs downwind of the first feeder and kicked the dogs out. The ran about 400 yards and had a nice red boar in the creek. Luke took a nasty cut so we sidelined him at the house while James changed into dry clothes. Drove down the creek with the two Jagds (Bart and Twinkle) and Ginger. Jagds were working a track when Ginger eased down the creek about 400 yards and opens bayed. We drove around and sent in the catch dogs to seal the deal. He was a 190 lb boar with good cutters. We quit on a good note with just minor cuts and pokes to the dogs. Thanks for the comments. Luke is fine...he just took a nasty cut across his shoulders.
We are going to have to get some real light so we can see what we are recording.
