Had a ranch manager call today and said the hogs were back! So about 2:00 I called dad and my wife to see if they wanted to go on a quick hunt before the cold front came in today, believe it or not they both wanted to go. When I got home dad was waiting with the dogs ready to go I took a look at them and ask why he choose the dogs he had (B team hound cross and a pair of young BMCs) He said they needed to be hunted. I load yella and bud catch dogs and off we go. Turned the dogs out and they went nuts struck a hog and lit out made about a 3 mile circle and bayed a big sow. The funny thing was they bayed it about a 100 yards from a friend of mines dog kennel in a wide open field. I sure like those quick hunts!  |
