Loaded up the dogs and headed down to far south Texas for the week to my buddy Lukes place for his birthday. Was a great time with all my ol Texas State buddies. Had his pack of dogs and mine as well to see if we could catch a few pigs.

Caught this boar the first night and Concho ran this boar in circles until we could finally catch up and get the catch dogs to him. Was only about 175 but had some cutters on him. He is going on the wall.

After sitting in the deer blinds we loaded up the dogs and made another run. Bayed this boar right behind a feeder.

Here are a few pics of the dogs and deer hitting the feeders. Man I love south Teaxs...

Luke Needed a few cull bucks shot and we needed some deer meat.

Lukes blood trail dog Porter found this buck.

And of course being the gringos that we are. We walked across into ol Mexico for a day to drink some beers and went to the saddle shop to get some gear for the horses.....

What a great week and cant wait til next year....

Nice pictures.
Good teeth on that little hog.
Now, call me ignorant, but are the chaps for the cactus?
And whats the story with the hats?

Its just unique to most of the pictures I see here, so I thought Id ask.

Chad,
Those are some great pics.  Glad yall ended up with a good hunt.  Ol' Concho seems to still have it.  I am still amazed that big hunk of muscle can go as far as he does.  Take care.

yes we use the chaps for the cactus, and everything else down there...even the grass will poke you in that country! the hats? I pretty much where a cowboy hat alot of the time anyway and all the time pretty much when i hunt, great for keep brush off your face and neck when haulin @$$ through the woods, all you gotta do it duck your head.

Had a blast, ready for next year.
