Had a young man contact me to go hunting this evening (BADBOAR30) he brought a couple of his friends with him, a young cur gyp and a good looking catch dog, I tell you what these guys turned out to be some fine young men and we had a great time with them. I didnt take any pics tonight because my flash wasnt working. I called DaisyDog up and asked if he wanted to try it, Ive been sick for a week, Phillip hunted our dogs for 10 hours yesterday and caught 9 hogs so I wasnt sure we would get much out of any of us. We went for it and three mins. after cutting the dogs loose Clay was bayed solid, the other dogs soon joined him. We took my two 10 month old AB/DOGO pups PowerStroke and DuramaX, we cut them loose about 150yds out along with BADBOAR30's big Pitt and they soon had him nose down in the dirt!  10 mins. later Clay is bayed again, we start to him and a couple of our other good finished dogs caught a nice, nice DILLER, we were so proud of them Grin Grin Grin. Soon got to Clay Caught another Boar! All the dogs roll out and within 15 mins. Daisy is bayed at about 300, ZIG joins her shortly there after so as we are heading to them Clay falls bayed about 500yds out to the right of her then he was joined by Tray. We now had two solid bays going about 300 yards apart and Ill tell ya as quiet and clear as it was tonight the dogs really sounded great! We walked toward Daisy's hog, got about 100 yds out  and cut the CD"s loose. Another caught Boar! Started toward Clay and Tray  made it about half way, the bay broke and this hunt just got long, rough, and WET! Dogs went about 7/10ths of a mile! We hear and Awesome bay at that distance! Phillip and I discuss how best to get to them so one BAD DECISION later we are on our way. I will promise you the next hour and a half Sucked! BAD! By the time we got to them they had killed BOAR #4. Our main concern at this point was to catch Clay, which we did. Thinking the other three would follow us out (Bad Decision #2) they rolled out about 900yds and got bayed right! According to the Garmin Daisy won the race! Oh Yea! that 900 yds was back through Bad Decision #1. I decided to let my CD pups follow us out since we are all to spent to lead them back through Bad Decision #1, one of them decides to peel off to our left where we hear some hogs grunting and he and his brother catch Boar #5 about a 10 pounder and they never put a scratch on him, keep in mind both these dogs weigh over 100 pounds each. They are nice guys! Grin I will skip the next hour by just saying it SUCKED! BAD! finally get to the bay cut the CD's loose close the deal on Boar #6.  5 of the Boars were between 125 and 150 pounds, I think every dog we had with us tonight had at least one hole in it somewhere, Im not sure if it was the hogs or Bad Decision #1. One thing I havent mentioned is the little gyp BADBOAR30 brought with him, she was out with  our dogs the entire time we were hunting tonight and was baying and caught every time! I dont know how old she is but if she were mine I would be very proud of her. Phillip and I made three new friends tonight and look forward to meeting more in the future Wink

Our pack has caught 23 hogs this week, I know! Some HATER out there is thinkin Huh?  "I wonder how many of them were Shoats?"

Hear is your answer  FOUR!!!!!  that means 19 of them were over 100 pounds.

It has taken alot of blood sweat and tears and $ to get where we are, and I can say it has payed off. I know many of you have great dogs and I am very happy you do. I know what it feels like to be proud of your pack. Happy Hog Doggin Guys

Just wanted to say THANKS to Paul (raider54) and Phillip (daisydog) for letting us come out. I called Raider54 our of the blue and asked him if he wanted to hunt... well he didnt waste any time and said "come on!" so me and my 2 buddies loaded up in a hurry and headed his way. We got right to the woods shortly after meetin up with them and were puttin the whippin on some good boar hogs one right after the other... we couldnt hardly catch our breath lol... Anyways we all had a blast and i'll tell you this much- raider54 and daisydog are top of the line kind of guys, you wont find anyone with more generosity and hospitality then these two. They showed us a good time and put us on the hogs quick!!  They had some of the best dogs ive ever seen... i dare any of u to challenge their dogs  Grin Grin Grin

Mike I do believe BadBoar30 was jokeing! at least about the dog challenge but I wrote the part about being proud of our dogs and I find it odd that you are offended and yes I used the word HATERS! It wasnt very long ago DaisyDog put a post on here about catching a bunch of hogs and the very first response was "How Many of Them Were Shoats"  not Good Job Guys, not Way to Go Fellas, not Congratulations, nope just a Hater comment! this comment came from one of your moderators! There are no EGO issues here! If this is where you need to pull out your moderator gun and show us who is boss, well I guess there isnt a thing we can do about it HUH? I and my friends spend alot of time on here and enjoy it. While I respect the staff and believe they do a good job keeping the non-sence out of the forrum sometimes you are a bit quick on the draw!

Paul... I figured that would get you stirred up! Grin

I apalogize if I came across the wrong way... it's sometimes hard to understand things posted on the internet, but I can see where he was joking.

I guess I missed the previous "hater" comment?

Now, that the guns have been holstered, I'd like to say great hunts.  Whether you're catching pigs or Jessie Paul type hogs, actually laying hands on swine, and making friends while doing it is special.  Keep it up.  It sounds like the pack is really clicking right now.  Have most of them been stopping quickly, or have there been some longer races involved in your recents wins?  I do say wins, as you guys have been beating the hogs lately for sure.  Give the dogs a pat on the head from the Florida guy.

We have caught alot of good hogs this year but I would have to say the majority have not been easy. Our dogs are not real gritty so we have had a bunch of long races but with exception to Clay at nearly 6 years old, the rest of our pack is just coming two years old. We hunt by ourself alot so our dogs have had to do it alone. When I bought Clay there was no way they could keep up with him but after a year he has definately taught them alot and I believe we can attribute that to the fact that he doesnt make many mistakes, and he has a Ton of bottom end. We used to have twenty or so dogs, now we have 4 strike dogs and four catch dogs. Thanks for the encouragement and complements.  Paul

Another great hunt guys!  Tell me about Clay when you get the chance, what he is, how he hunts, how he stops hogs, etc.  Always interested to hear what makes a good dog good!
