12-29-09 hunt. first time in snow

me, blue lacey, and bo decided to go hunting this morning. we always wanted to catch a pig in the snow and got our chance today. we went out to a place just close to town that we have seen alot pigs on and caught several off of to. we turned out on some tracks  we saw in the snow and the dogs to off with their nose in the air. we looked off in the trees and saw a bunch of deer run out of the trees and was like o boy! here we go. but they ended up not being on the deer. they bayed us a 200 lb black and white spotted sow about 2 miles away. we went in and tied him down while it was snowing on us and took him and sold him. took the money off him and went to eat lunch then headed back out to hunt some more. we got on another hot trail but couldnt ever finish that one off. so we loaded up the dogs and went down the road to another pasture and turned out on the side of a wheat field that is only about 150 yards off the river and the dogs all took off on a hot track and we looked across the field and saw 4 pigs running threw the snow then looked right behind them were the dogs. they took him about i would say 1 1/2 miles or so and bayed. we walked threw about shin high snow the whole way caught him and stuck him. he was only about 80 lb or so. walked all that way for a lil one but o well it was a hog. i was just glad to catch somethin in the snow. always wanted to and now we have.
