Got a call from a fella yesterday saying that hogs had been doing some rooting in his field. So we decided to load up the dogs and see for ourselves. We met him, his buddy, and his buddy's son and dropped the dogs out. The dogs showed bayed .6 on the Garmin and we made our way to them. We went in, turned bulldogs loose and caught a boar. The dogs rolled out and showed bayed .5 in the opposite direction and we made our way to them, turned the bulldogs loose and caught a sow. These guys were pretty excited and went back to get a trailer to put the hogs in. They also called out another buddy with a young dog. By the time, they got back and we got the hogs loaded up, we had about 1hr of daylight left. I was really ready to call it a day, but they wanted to try out another spot. Them having such a good time, I said what the heck, and we dropped out at another spot. The dogs hit a good pack and we caught a boar right off the bat. The dogs rolled out and we sent the bulldogs in and caught a sow in a creek. The creek was steep and we were getting tired so we stuck her. The dogs rolled out again and caught a small pig. We went ahead and got the cur dogs caught and decided to call it a night. It was a good hunt, I ended up making it home around 9pm. 5am sure came pretty quick Grin...

Thanks for the comments. I wish all my hunts went as smooth as this one. The guys I hunted with were a little bit skeptical and nervous about hunting with dogs. The first place was near a hwy and had goats and cows on it. A good recipe to make a lousy hunt. Hopefully, we gained a few more supporters of the sport.

That's what seperates the good from the bad catchdogs...right, Richard?  Any 'ole bulldog can grab a big-eared hog!!   Grin
