I have two ugly dog guardian vests with the leg flaps and high neck.  I look the open back which I think keeps the dog cooler in hot weather.  Both vests seem to be fairly light in weight compared to the others I have looked at and held.

I use a couple of gaurdian kevlars from ugly dog , they will repair or replace your vest , in my opinion the bib under rhe throat area is the most inportant piece to any vest , one shot in the right spot under the jaw and your dog wont make it to the vet

Man that Jag looks good!  I think I'm going to get my hands on one they look like they would be pretty fast for these palmettos down here.  Plus I bet their cheaper to feed than these 70 lbs cur dogs.  Sorry to get off topic.  I use some vests made by Bayhead down here that are Kevlar that have worked great and held up pretty good.

I had a Tejas vest but didint like it much.  Got a devastator from ugly dog and like it much better. More flexable and fits the dog better.
Im not real big on vest so to say I like it, it is pretty good. My only complaint is that it is florescent orange, I get a lot of ragging about that.  My buddies keep asking if my bulldog is still working for the highway department. Grin

I like the bright colors on cut gear.  If I have to be looking for a cut down dog in the middle of a bunch of cedars an leaves, the last thing I want him wearing is camoflauge, or even black or green.  I'll take as much bright and reflective as I can get.

Hey you need to tell the makers of vest to make a vest with the wire that is flexable in it like what is in the sharks suits.

Scratch everything I wrote to this point.  I just got a pair of Wild Boar USA Ugly Dog Ranch (H) Guardian kevlar vests for my medium sized catch dogs.  These are the first vests I have seen on dogs that have no effect on their movements right out of the box.  Dogs can jump flat footed into open tailgate of my 4x4 truck and jump down without rolling around on the ground.  Very flexible.  One of my dogs ran 2 miles after the hog broke bay and caught the hog.  Most of the cur dogs did not even try to keep up.  Price is steep, but work every penny.
