Surely that isn't JML there in that fourth pic!!  He getting the itch, or what?

JML's itch was so strong, he just called me and told me he bought Bo back. I'd say it's not too often that people are able to get out of hunting for a year, then be able to buy their best dog back and hit the ground running again.

Nice huntin Mike and everyone.
Sorry to hear about Tiger, I know how good he was doing and the high hopes you had for him, he sure had come a along ways since that first time I hunted with him.

Bummer man, sorry to hear that!

Every one gets theirs in the end though. My dog that died from a rattle snake bite a couple months ago, last nigh my roommate shot the boar who tempted him to escape his kennel. Gratification was delayed by several months but that boar got his in the end..... A slicktrick tipped carbon arrow in the heart!

Hate to hear about you losing a good young dog that was really coming on for you. That kind is hard to replace, no doubt.

What are those hogs feeding on to be that fat? Deer feeders, crops, or??

Mark, we don't have a clue and were just talking about that last night. There are some milo fileds nearby, but I haven't seen hogs this fat even during grain season... the little pigs are the same way. Here's a couple pics from last year when we first hunted the place.

I don't have any experience with milo fields (there aren't any down here) but those sure are some fat healthy looking hogs.

Our poor hogs live on palmettos and pine straw so they don't EVER look like those......... Tongue

Maybe I need to plant some milo in the woods!!

Hey Mike, I butchered that 175 lb. sow and she had about 1 1/2 inches of fat on her back and on the belly inside there was about an inch of fat on the inside flap of the rib cage. That's going to be some good eating pork.
