i know my buddy won't have a chance to post so i am.  He (lawlershogwidhunts) lost a very good dog last night by a freak accident.  Blue was one of the best blue lacy hog dogs i have ever hunted with.  He is the reason that one of my first hog dogs is a blue lacy.  Blue was one of my favorites out of all the dogs he hunts.  He would wind a hog and would be @sses and elbows straight to it.  he could and would stop anything.  i have one story i won't forget.  i had just started hunting again, and we dropped the dogs in field right next to some thick brush that we always saw pigs.  The moon was out and one of those nights u don't need a flash light and could see just as clear as day.  All the dogs bolted right away in one direction and started baying pretty fast.  On our way to the bay we heard blue in the complete opposite direction baying, and he never opened his mouth unless he was face to face with one.  We turned back knowing he was alone and came up on a site to see.  He was faced up with a good boar (250+) and was baying hard.  We let him work and it gave me chill's to watch him.  hog would break and he would bit @ss, and pig would turn, blue would bay again.  This went out for about a good 15 minutes as we enjoyed the show, making sure he didn't get hurt in the process.  He probably could have done it all night long, but with other dogs bayed and caught we ended it.  That is a big reason why i love this sport and he is the main reason why i will always have blue lacy in my group.  Sorry for the long story but he deserves it.
