Well this past friday night i got to go hunt with some guys that i met a a gas station about 2 weeks ago.  I just happened to see two of their dogs on top of the box as i was passing on my way to work that night and then decided to stop a strike up a conversation.  They gave me their numbers and to make a long story short i gave them a call friday and they were already loaded up on their way hunting but still ofered up a seat.  So we headed outabout 9:15 on the way to some of their places.  A couple of the places were supposed to be planted in watermelon recently so they figured we would have pretty good luck.  We had 5 curs and a catahoula for bay and two rather nice pits for catch.  The night started rather slow as the first three properties came up empty.  We then went to a place and a soon as we got back in the fields we could see fresh sign.  We turned the dogs out and they made a few sweeps away from the truck until we got back in the north east corner.  We shut the truck down and all 6 dogs disappeared about ten minutes later they all started trickling back in except one we were in the process of loading up the dogs to move to a different part of the property when that last dog opened up in the distance.  It was hard to hear him since the wind was at our backs but we heard him and so did the rest of the pack.  So off went the remaining five dogs and out came one bulldog.  As we were running to the bay all you could hear was brush busting and dogs barking but no hog squeeling or grunting.  The bulldog was let loose and he hit like a freight train right on the left ear and well the rest is history.  Turned out to be a boar about 250 with alright cutters.  Heck the guys even let me stickem'.  The rest of the night after that was just as it started, no hogs.  I didn't take a camera with me since i didn't know how they felt abgout it but next hunt i will defintly take it along.  So until next time  Take it easy
