I loaded up Saturday morning and met Aaron Pesak and the Skinner guys at one of my favorite places to hunt hogs and deer and EAT, at Aaron's grandma's place.  We caught 2 hogs and a couple of stripers, and it proved to be a great morning.  As we were on our way back to the trucks, another hunting buddy called and said we were going to a good spot in Lexington that afternoon.  I loaded everything up and unfortunately skipped Nana's lunch, and headed to Lexington.

My brother brought COCO out of a 6 month retirement, and Trey brought half of his A team, and I had Chunk and a new catchdog.  We drove to the spot where the land owner had been seeing hogs and let the tailgate down.  Every dog made a Bee line into the wind and were bayed within 200 yards.  We made our way that direction and I sent my new bulldog.  He doesn't get there as fast as I am used to, but he was anchored to an ear with his chest on the ground when I got there.  Before we could get regrouped and catch our breath, Coco was hammering a few hundred yards away.  Trey's Beans dog joined in and before I sent the bulldog, the 2nd sow was squeeling.  By now our fat selves were pretty winded, and it was getting dark so we headed toward the truck.  Just about the time I was going to unvest the bulldog and sit my tired a$$ on the tailgate I noticed that everybody was at the truck except Chunk.  I got out the Garmin and he was running a creek....200....300...600....997 yards and treed.  Me and Trey headed that way on foot.  Chunk is by no means gritty and can take care of himself on any hog from 5-500 pounds, so we took our time.  I suggested leaving the other dogs at the truck, but they got out ahead of us, so off we went.  We got within 200 yards of Chunk and the other dogs got within earshot of him baying and headed his direction.  Beans & Nasty got there, and sqealing we heard.  Not knowing how big it was, I sent the bulldog.  As me and Trey worked that direction through some think brush, we noticed that there was one hog caught and another bayed.  I went to the caught hog, and ended up in the creek.  By the time I got to Trey, Cornbread and Nasty had caught the 4th hog as Chunk bayed from the creek bank.  Long, detailed story, but a GOOD Saturday.

Bro has a full load at A&M this Spring, so I gained joint custody of Coco for a few months.  I'm excited about having her, Chunk, and my younger Ugly Dog Porky.

Didn't get pictures of all of them, but here are a couple.

The new bulldog, Bruiser did very well.  He didn't get near as winded as we did, and he caught all the hogs on the ear.  His temperment is GREAT!!

I sure miss that ole square headed sucker.  Kinda like a friend moved out.  I am glad to see him get to do what he loves and that he hasn't lost his touch  Grin

You done messed up by missing out on Nana's lunch...but you probably already knew that. LOL
Glad that bulldog is working out.  He is a dang good looking and well behaved dog.

Matt, it was good to see old chunky nuts on saturday.  He was doing his thing like an old pro.
