What do you guys think about wind (weather).  I know the wind moves scent around - but when is the wind too much.  Weather here for the weekend shows the wind around 17 mph.  Planning to hunt but didn't know if this would ruin the hunt.

I have found when we hunt in the whirling winds it is harder for the dogs to track a hog down and for us to sneak up on the hogs when the winds decide to trade.

I always consider the wind speed and direction on my hunts. I start by entering a property with the wind in my favor to working the dogs into the wind....right down to going in to a bay, down wind. In my opinion it is the most important consideration of hunting.

10-20 mph should benefit you....obviously it can get too strong and become an negative issue.
