Mandi and I are going on a camping trip in late March with some other members of ETHD, and we figured we needed a place to store our cooking/camping supplies and dutch ovens. Originally our plans were to install a cabinet in the nose, one on the side wall, a boot box, and some shelving to carry the ovens. It was going to be a two day project. It has now become a 6 day project. We are 5 days into it, with one more day of finish work left. We kept finding more things we wanted to have done... Installed birch paneling on the walls and ceiling. Built and installed cabinets in the nose. Here's Dario building the dutch oven shelves. Testing the fit of the dutch ovens. We ended up trimming the shelves down to make it easier to get the ovens in and out of. Dutch oven shelves installed. In the bottom left corner you can see the seat of the boot box. The top is covered in a hide from a Red Deer that Mandi shot last year. We still have to install the TV, couch, and do some more finish trim.

Craig, I am real impressed with the job that Dario has done on this, considering it's the first trailer he has worked on, and damn near every joint is a compound angle. He still has to come back and put the trim on the bottom of the dutch oven shelves, finish paneling and trimming out the boot box, and trim out the a/c unit. Here's a pic of the boot box with the Red Deer hide on it. The outside will be paneled in birch. I think we are going to take some of our axis, white tail, and black buck hides and have pillows made out of them for the couch.

Catchinpigs, The trailer we are working on is a Keiferbuilt Genesis that Mandi bought years ago. When she bought it all she had was an A/C in the dressing room. Both the dressing room and the rear tack were always full of tack and show accessories. Nowadays we just use the rear tack for its intended purpose and felt like we could better utilize the dressing room as a "weekender" type lq. Something with some storage, and nice enough to spend some time in if it should happen to rain while on a trip. The only pictures I could find of the trailer are from back in 2003. Back then, we used the Kiefer to run around town, and the big lq trailer for longer hauls. We no longer have the big trailer, so the Keifer has to pull double duty. There was a lot more room to work with in the big trailer, but it had it's own set of problems too. The biggest of which, is that it was 42' long and a PITA to haul anywhere other than the highway. Matt,
Back before I became poor white trash, I used to have a guy come to my office and detail my truck every other week. If a dog scratched the fenders, it was buffed and waxed. Now it gets washed when it rains, that's about it.

Chris,
Nice rig... I was going to recommend aluminum foil and hot coals until I read on, lol. You can pack a bunch of foil in saddle bags. Back when I ran alot of cows at spring branding I would always build a big fire the night before for the irons. I would show up early and throw some good sausage wrapped in foil on the outside coals for breakfast and bury a brisket wrapped in foil for lunch. The brisket usually came from a benifit somewhere, but I always took credit. As long as I had a loaf of bread and a full ice chest or two I never had any complaints.
You guys definitely have the nicest Dutch oven racks that I have seen without a doubt. Once again very nice rig. Later....
