I know this section is for trapping hogs but I need some info on trapping coyotes.I have a place where I have been stocking some young hogs and the coyotes are getting them almost as soon as I let them out of the truck. What type of traps work the best?I plan on calling them in and blasting all that I can but this wont put a dent in the population.I had no idea they were in there until I went to see if I could find any hog sign a couple of days after I cut them loose and all I found was coyote crap with hog hair in it.Anybody ever use snares?

Build u a drop door trap out of horse pannels or just small squared pannels build u a box with plywood one end open for heavy screen wire put a live chicken in the box put it inside the trap where they can only see the bait from the front of the trap and u will catch them out u have to use live bait to get there attention.

I woud not put out poison, other animals will get it. Try this get those sponges you use to wash a car. soak in bacon grease or grease from frying hamburgers cut the sponge in half inch squares. check often and pick up left overs if you plan to run dogs.
Pm if you need other ideas.
