So I put my pup on a hog in the pen for some work today !! he did AWESOME !! I am tryin REALLY hard to keep him from catchin like his parents !! so i am workin him with my old bluetick!! hopefully he keeps it in thier face and not on their ear !!!! Here are a few pics i took from my phone !!      |

I havevbeen hunting him and he hunts good !! but my problem is that all my main dogs catch so its a catch 22  so far on all the hogs he has been on in the woods with his parents he just gets a mouth full and then gets out !! i wont run my blue tick just anywhere cause she pulls out and the places i hunt right now are knida small ?? I even have hunted him by himself !! he has found a couple hogs and did really good !! I figured if i work him with a dog that wont catch in the pen at all, he will learn from that !! The hogs i been puttin him on have had a lot of attitude i hope that gets/keeps him thinkin im just scared if i keep runnin him with his parents he will end up catchin ? We catch more hogs that way but im takein that chance i guess LOL thanks for the advice yall !! |
