Looking at some knives and was wondering what is good for stickn hogs? I personally like a drop point knife for skinning game but how are they for stickn hogs? What is the best length?

I would have to say that the best knife would be a sharp one and leave it at that

buckhunter1983, I prefer an 8" blade but some one earlier posted the most important thing which is a hair popping sharp blade. Learn to sharpen it properly and do it religously. I use a coldsteel OSS which is sharpened as a double edge. John

That's kind of like asking what the best breed of dog is... doubt there is a best. My own personal preference:
Cold Steel - OSS

I use a cold steel boar hunter. Has a great point on it and easy to keep REALLY sharp.

I have their OSS and really like it, the Boar hunter's double hilt kraton handle was borrowed from the OSS. But I've never seen their Boar Hunter model in the flesh. Does it have any advantages over the OSS? Just curious.
