I NEED to find a decent vet close to me.

Sounds like I would agree.

With Zeus, I was told to feed soft (I assumed they meant canned) dog food for two weeks.  He really liked that.  They had stitches in his gum which dissolved.  I didn't take him to the woods for a little over a month.  I wanted him to be 100% when put back into action.  The last thing I wanted was to send him in to catch a hog, then turn loose because his jaw was still sore.  Not sure that he would...but thats what crossed my mind.

I'm in Kilgore Texas

Yeah I was thinking a month also, he ate fine yesterday, guess he's chewing on the other side of his mouth, so I'm not really worried about that. Just wish I'd have been told what to do.

thanks, they FINALLY told me today, canned food for 10 days and 3 weeks no hunting, fetching, etc. (basically no fun at all for him) I'm still gonna look for someone else.
