Originally posted by longshot I'm a field tester for Garmin and I've been using a test prototype of the DC40 for the last 6 weeks in testing. The DC40 should hit the market sometime this summer. It has many new features that I believe will improve your outdoor experiance. New features are,
Unlimited range in any terrain.
An integrated camera with zoom features that will allow you to see treed game before walking into a tree. The camera also allows you a view from the dogs perspective.
A scent indicator that allows you to know ahead of time what your dog is running. The screen will flash '' Opossum'' ''deer'' etc etc.
The new DC 40 will also have a built in shocking system that will allow correction of unwanted behavior. For example , when your screen flashes '' Opossum'' , you simply apply the tone button and if that doesn't solve the problem , you can then apply a shock at various levels of stimulation until the negative behavior ends.
I hope this answers some of the questions you have about the new DC 40. Thank you.

DC-50 will have also have a built in bark. So the issue of having silent and open dogs will be laid to rest. With a few snips, re move the vocal cords of your dog and place DC-50 on its neck. At the touch of a button you can decide to run open,semi-open or silent dogs. The DC-50 will also give your dog a "pep talk" to hunt further into the woods. It will be made of Kevlar so it will last any where from 12748- 238904 years.

Cantexduck, I think you should review your facts. I'm fairly certain it is vipercloth and not kevlar.

Wait a min.......... isnt that what chapstick I mean Zeus' vest is made out of?
No. Zeus' vest is a custom-tailored original like no other. It was fabricated by a one-fingered seamstress I located in southern Paraguay. When I had his vest manufactured, I spent a week where I traveled to Asia in search of lower back hair from the elusive Pig-Tailed Macaque; the strongest of all known fibers. I could tell you more and go into further detail, but you simply wouldn't understand.

I read on another forum that the DC40 collars will have an optional flux capacitor unit available. Supposedly they will be lighter than DC30s due to an extensive use of unobtanium.
