We are having to spend entirely too much time editing posts in the dog trade section of ETHD.

Please read and understand the following rules about the dog trade, especially the part in bold.

1. Ads, as well as any resulting transactions are strictly between buyer and seller, ETHD assumes no responsibility.

2. If you have a legitimate question on the dog, then ask it, any other comments need to be taken up in private. Negative comments and/or bashing the individual or the dog will not be tolerated and will result in being banned from this forum. Any disputes between buyer's and seller's will be held off the boards and in private.

3. BUYER BEWARE... research the seller as much as possible. If the majority of their posts are in The Dog Trade, that should tell you something.

4. Sound advise: If you are going to spend a bunch of money on a dog ... GO SEE THE DOG HUNT/CATCH BEFORE YOU BUY. Any respectable person selling a proven dog will not have a problem with this, if they do turn and run the other way. Also get a trial period on the dog, but remember this... it takes a lot of dogs time to get used to their new owner and new packs. A short trial period is not always sufficient.

Failure to post in compliance with the above policy will result in being banned. There will be no warnings, just banning.

Thanks,
Circle C

Shocked    I see what you are saying, if it has to do with the exchange of the dog, good......if not bad. Good- hows he hunt, how old, size, color etc... Bad- comments that don't pertain to buying or selling the said dog, if you are not interested don't post.. can o' worms.!

my biggest beef with comments on the dog trade are comments about the value of a dog. Its real simple to me. if the price is too high, move along. It aint rocket science. I will admit though that im guilty of commenting when people bitch about the price of a dog.

Thank you Muleman!!!! You get what we're saying.

If you don't like you see... don't buy it, it's just an ad! Grin

Right on! If you don't like the price, then move on! These arn't cars, trucks, tractor's or any other item that has a Blue Book value! You set the price upon your belief's of the dogs worth! You don't like it move somewhere else and shop! I think that in order to sell dogs or pups, or post something in the classified You MUST have been with the site for 30 days and have 30 posts in the Discussion Forum...to post, or read, in the Classifieds and dog trade. This will cut out all the B.S. of people just joining to try and sell something! im on Texasbowhunter.com and this is how they do it! Just ask cantexduck, he is a member there also, and it sure cut down on the rif-raf trying to sell stuff! Thats just some of my .02 worth! Moderators, keep up the good work and crack down hard on some of these hoodliums! This is a great site to gain knowledge and all kinds of good information, don't need a bunch of Tards on here causing trouble!

Hopefully everyone has had the chance to read and understand this... this warning will not be posted again.

The Dog Trade Policy is pinned at the top of the forum and will be strictly enforced.

I am bringing this back to the top in case someone missed it.

There are 8 members that have already been banned in the last week due to not heeding this warning.  Shocked
