I had a buddy that was on the hunt email me these pics of the 240 lb barr we caught last week. I think these are better (and clearer) pics than what I originally posted so thought I would put them up for everyone to see. Down here where I hunt, this is about as good as hogs get. We don't get 350-500 lb hogs, so when you catch one like this, its a good one for the area. I had an invite to hunt another permit hunt this past week, but have been fighting the flu or something, so didn't go. Hope to be back in the woods next week.......hopefully...... Me, Spur and the barr. If I look wide eyed its because it was 2 AM and I was trying to stay awake!!   The hunting group including me, Chris, Jason, Wade and Dennis.  |

Yep, Starkeys starts Tuesday night...and naturally they are calling for rain!! I hope to be there, still fighting a little of this flu or whatever it is...............feeling better, just don't know if I am up to an all night hunt or not yet! Look me up if you get there spazhogdog.
Guys, you probably won't believe me, but I gave that barr away to Chris and Wade. I don't keep any of the hogs I catch, I usually let whoever I am hunting with have them, even if its my dogs that find them. Or I give them to a family that needs the meat. I have just gotten to where I don't want them anymore.....

That's a good hog. We do the same thing. If we catch them in the groves or on the ranch we just bring them back to our area and mark/barr them and turn them loose.
