Matt, Chris, John and his grandson Ray met me out in Waller County yesterday for a "short" hunt. That short hunt lasted all day with only two hogs caught. We finally caught a sow around 2:30 or so and then Annie, Smiley and Tweety took the rest of the bunch 2.6 miles and had a boar bayed in a blow down. Got him caught and called it a day.

Ray with the sow...

Any hunt is a good one when you get a young hunter into the woods better if he takes a hog or two!
They are the future.  Congrats.

It was a good hunt until Matt tried to knock Mike out of commission with a rogue tree branch.  See now that Matt has a hot rod UTV he drives a lot faster and seems to be a bit more careless. Things were coming at em so fast racing through that pasture, that Mike didn't even know to blink, much less dodge that branch. Next thing you know Mike took a direct hit to an open eye. Matt, I am thinking that until you get a handle on all that power, we might need to swap buggies for a while. Grin Mine rides so rough you won't dare break 5 mph through a pasture. Grin

Yeah the "danger ranger" will scoot across the pasture for sure!  The ride is second to none but poor mike paid the price haha I sent him a text yesterday to check on him but I got to thinking about it he might not have been able to read it.  Like you were saying, all fun and games till someone gets their eye poked Grin. He was looking at his garmin when it happened so maybe we can blame it on it haha

Mandi offered to kennel him with Foxy. Said he could stay with her, and she would doctor his eye twice a day like she has been doing for Foxy. Shocked

Yeah, it got me pretty good. The hardest part was the ride home. My good was so tired trying to stay open that I had to stop 3 times... almost had Angel come get me when I got to Willis. I was finally able to open them yesterday evening, still sore but ready to go again. Grin

If I ever win the Lottery I am going to have a set up like that to load hogs. I have the hardest time getting some of the hogs I catch, loaded by myself.........something like that would be REAL nice at times.

Course, sounds like I may need to put a bullet proof windshield on mine to protect me from the tree limbs, irate monkeys  and such...... Shocked

Yeah left the house at 5:30 am and pulled back in at 6:30 pm.  That is a long day when you are only hunting 30 min from the house!  Had a great time though and it was nice to feel the sun for a change.

Awesome job! Matt, when you get time, snap some more pictures of the "danger ranger" and start a new thread, I'd sure like to see more of it. Grin
