Started out around 4:30 got to the marsh around 5:30 and dropped the dogs.  First trip of the year didn't turn out to bad.
Dogs loaded up.
First hog of the morning.
Second hog of the morning.  First time I've caught one on her nest
Third hog of the morning.
Fourth hog of the morning.
Fifth hog of the morning.
Sixth hog of the morning.
Had enough headed to breakfast at 8:00.  Here's a couple pics of the land we were hunting.

That looks like too much fun, always wanted to ride in an airboat.

I have an airboat but have never hunted out of it. I always worry about the hogs running far inland and the dogs getting somewhere they shouldn't be........ but I know some guys that hunt that way all the time and catch a lot of hogs.

This down by Kissimmee? I see where cows have eaten the palmettos off.

Looks like you guys had a lot of fun...several hogs caught AND breakfast by 8 Am..you can't beat that..... Grin

Good looking red dog too!

11'6" predator hull with a 160 lycoming.  Runs dry with 2 dogs and 2 180lbs guys all day long.

Cracker the waters up high in the marsh right now.  Miles of that country to hunt legal.

I thought it looked like a lycoming... had to ask. Running dry always makes me a bit nervous. What kind of undercoating you using?

What's AVGas running per gallon now days?

Is it legal to hunt past the high water mark where you're running?

We left with about 12 gallons @ 3.70 and rode at least 30 miles total trip and still had about 3-4 gallons left when we got in.  There is a little over 20,000 acres legal to hunt so there's plenty of land to dog year round day or night.  Most of us guys down here just run a slik bottom which is basicly gelcoat silicon and couple other things.

Great hunt man!  Still never hunted like that, from what I understand you just ride/spotlight till you see one jump up and just drop the dogs on them?  Would be a great trainer hunt for sure.   You know Brian Berry?  And I still love the look of your dogs, strong lookin' dog
