Anybody have any experience with any Pit/Lab hog dogs? I have a three week old accidental litter. The pups look just like pits right now, spotted, blue, brown, so I don't know what to expect. The pit bitch has only seen hogs once in a trap, and really wanted to get to them. I'm pretty sure the male dog is my neighbors lab because I had to chase him away several times about the time she would have gotten bred.

A guy i used to hunt with raised 1/2 Dogo 1/2 Labs. Some would bay, some straight catch. I figure yours would probably be about the same. They were pretty much all gritty dogs.

I have a pit that will hunt his butt off but he doesnt have the nose but he will damn sure hunt and I have a 4 yeare old Lab that will hunt with any dog in the woods. This cross will be mostly strait up catch dog or strike and catch.

yep James Griffin from Simms, tx. I caught my first hog with him,his son Tanner, and a couple guys down the road from me. Me and another boy had to run across a huge pasture ( since the old men couldnt run like us ) and jump in a creek and drag the hog out to keep the dogs from drowning it. And i aint gonna lie, i was skeerd! Its been a LONG time since i went with him. I remember that Moe was his 1/2 dogo 1/2 lab CD, and Buckshot was his strike / catch dog that got hit by a car. Dang good dogs.

I have hunted witha few. Most had decent hunt, decent nose and were kind of catchy. A good buddy of mine has one now. Dog lives half his life in recovery. Not a bad cross in my experiances with them if you want a gritty dog.
