It was Eric (liefbarnes) last weekend on his deer lease and he wanted to make a hunt. Myself, Richard (got2catchem), Joseph (HickoryFlatBoars) and Dan met up about 1:00 pm.

The landowner and good friend, Marshall, wanted me to take he, his girlfriend and kids on a short hunt before we got started.

Afterwards we stopped at the deer camp for a beverage and snack. Richard sent two of his dogs and one Jagd through the gate. About 15 minutes later the Garmin showed the dogs bayed. Had about a 100 lb 3 leg boar.

Got the first hog out of the way and drove over to an open pasture I always have good luck finding hogs. Within a few minutes dogs are baying. Bay broke and ran into the neighbors then across a county road. I called and talked to the landowner and got permission to go in. Richards three dogs had a small group bayed in a group of three small cedars.

We cut catch dogs in and had hogs running out, back in, at us and everywhere else. It seemed like every hog had a dog on him. Got two of those caught and the dogs rolled out and had a nice boar bayed again before we had the two tied.

He broke on the catch dogs and ran 300 yards before the dogs got him stopped and caught. By the time we got there, Richards dogs had rolled out again and was showing bayed 3/4 mile down. Stuck that little boar and headed back to the camp.

Dan and Eric cooked us a steak dinner and we headed out for a short round again. Ended with 5 good hogs, good meal and a good time with friends.

Nice hunt Bump.  I want to know the story about yager I see in the second pic.  Yager bombs at lunch would be a sure bet for a puker at the next bay. LOL

It was a fun hunt and Bump it looks like you were up much of the night putting this all together.  Richard and Joseph it was good to see you again.  Cant wait until next time.  One of these days I will have a dog in the race.  The only thing I could get them to strike on this weekend was a hog leg they found somewhere! Grin  This is 3.5m old, Asoka and Vader (brother and sister plotts).

On the 3 leg pig, when I got to the bay I had thought that Bart (tazmanian Jagd) had already chewed one of the legs off.  We soon realized it was an old wound probably from one of them no shootin da*n deer hunters!

When Bump was relocating the pigs from the pen yesterday I almost had to call him and tell him reenforcement was on the way.  All three of my dogs were hauling arse that way.  I got them called off and tied up. At least they all had the right idea!

Cull, I think Dan pulled out the Jager.  Im not sure if anyone drank any, I tried to not even look at it!

Nice hunt Bump.  I want to know the story about yager I see in the second pic.  Yager bombs at lunch would be a sure bet for a puker at the next bay. LOL

Hey Hickory, were the locks changed when you got home?  Was she glad to see ya?

It definantly was a good hunt with some good folks and a heck of a steak dinner to boot. Ol Joseph got pulled over by a trooper on the way home, but for some reason, he didn't get a ticket. I ended up getting back to the house at about 3am. Eric, you'll have to come down and make a hunt with us some time, btw..those baked potatoes were the BOMB...Heres a pic of the last boar that we caught..

Nice hunt Bump.  I want to know the story about yager I see in the second pic.  Yager bombs at lunch would be a sure bet for a puker at the next bay. LOL

I didn't touch the Yager, but did find a bottle of Crown Royal at Eric's deer camp... Grin
