i'm just wonderering if any of ya'll have this same problem in ya'lls area as i do in mine. Here it is. Have you ever got permission from a land owner to run dogs on there land, because they have a hog problem and another hog hunter/hunters gets wind of the situation and tries to swindle there way in to the same land?
Is this a common problem in the hog doggin community. it seems like ever since i started running dogs(which hasn't been that long ago) it's more of a competition between hunters just to find land to hunt??

Yes hunting in general is a very competitive thing for alot of hunters. I have experienced this from alot of angles as I was growing up here in Hawaii and even experience it today from family members who taught me to hunt! I have recently got tired of dealing with other people and just closed a deal with a land owner to lease a property and guess who was the first guys to call to congratulate and ask questions?? I am not competitive about my hunting as much as I love and enjoy it and will be taking a few of my cousins up to my property probably next weekend as this weekend they've invited me to theirs!

Competition is not the domination of others, But rather the pursuit of excellence within each of us.

Yep very common problem, take a person just getting into hog hunting and the next thing you know they are hunting the same stuff without you.

Here is a goodin,, I have a friend that went and meet a landowner that he had talked to a few times and was going to hunt his place so he invited a couple guys(new to doggin)and well i was invited a few months later by this guy to go hunt (new guys) and said where the place was and i didnt go due to the fact after i talked to my friend about the situation he stated that he did NOT have permision and he was merily just there the first time he went and meet the landowner and thought he had permission too hunt it as well

when I started hog huntiing the first time I had a bad a$$ spot but no dogs , the guys I met only wanted to take me when we went to my spot , never took me anywhere else , so when I could afford my first dog , I bought it , and that started my friendship with craig , and have bought several dogs since, Ive also threw my old cow baying , no control hog hunting buddys to the wayside, and have been taught hog hunting edicate from the right person, not everyone will backdoor ya , you just haft to cull them just like you do your dogs Ill never hunt any spot someone showed me , even public , unless they tellme its ok or they take me

yep turdburd we need to keep the "buzzards" away. From now on, as far as the "public" is concerned we caught them on D-Brack's place.
