Well we went out to check the camera and get a quick hunt in, we got there about 6:30 and dogs rolled out. Lilly went her own way, 300 yds to the northwest, and Hank, Lacie, and my pup Sasha went south making small loops only about 150 yds. But all where hunting good and hard. Deciding to check the camera while letting the dogs hunt I found I had 107 pics this time, and only one hog from the first batch all new hogs, I was getting excited. I showed Lilly treed on the garmin at 450 yds, but couldn't hear no barking, so I thought TRASH, and started to her. Finally getting there to find a hole and a dillo Angry, well with a little adjustment and a regroup we started back. Apparently the adjustment worked, with camera card in hand headed for the truck Lilly sounded off, and only about 50 yds to my left in a small patch of woods bordering a creek. I paused to make sure she wasn't in a hole and heard grunting in the barks, then the others joined in, even Sasha was hammering(and trying to catch Shocked). Turned Red to em' and heard the infamous hit and squeel. Ran in and legged a very large sow, one of three I have been getting pics of, but one of the smaller ones(Bertha still out there). Got her hobbled and the dogs regrouped and headed for the trailer(but not before snappin' a quick pic for proof Tongue). After getting back to the truck I noticed Lilly was at 700 yds to the west and steadily climbing, 800, 900, finally at 0.69 mi she sat down, then showed treed. I waited about 20 minutes or so to make sure it didn't break, then decided to head to her. We grabbed leads and headed out, not sure exactly where the rest were, closer than we were though. Finally after about 1 1/2 hrs we made it within 300 yds and could here her hammering down!! As we made our way closer the rest of the pack assisted her and they caught, we got to them finally after fighting the monster palms, switchcane, and blowdowns, and I'd be dang Lilly was bayed more than 2 hrs on a 90# shoat Huh? (not like her at all) Got it caught and dogs headed another direction, then looked for the best way out. Unfortunately but fortunate(woulda lost it) left the camera at the truck, but it wasn't nothin special. Finally made it back to the truck dogs loaded and headed home @ 12 am, never again will I PLAN for a quick hunt. All in all it was good fun, dogs did good and me and my brother seen some hogs for a change!!!
