Michael finally sent me pics of his yote. She's getting big, he said she's about 10-11 months old and weighing about 35-45 pounds.
Very protective of him and currently getting bred to a big ole hound. Enjoy  Grin

Interesting! Thanks for posting it up for us! Should be interesting to see how the pups come out.

Better not take that one out in the woods, she is liable to get shot.
Pretty neat though.

Thats awesome. I always wondered if you got them as a pup if they would make good pets.

Man that is just awesome!  I love that thing and wanted it bad when he caught it.  Has it ever tried to bite and does it act shy?
 Thanks,

I don't think she's been out of her kennel but he said she's very protective of him. She won't let anyone around him.

Like I said above she is only gentle towards him

I have always too great interest in animal imprinting, especially wild animal imprinting.  I saw the pictures when he got the pup and it was young.  Between the natural wild animal tendencies and the imprinting that has occured my best guess would be that he will forever be the only one that will be able to be close to the dog.

I think that is awesome!!  I would be interested in seeing how she is towards other dogs?  I could see old hound stud dog getting chewed up when you put him in there to breed her.  I am also suprised she hasn't chewed her way out of that chainlink yet!!

I would say nuture since it has been raised with other domesticated dogs since it was very young.  There are 2 sides though.  People will argue that behavior is determined by genes and behavior is determined by environment.  I lean more towards the environment or nuture, but again there are good points for both.
