new to hunting with dogs....

just here looking for advise and tips type thing.. not really sure where to go or anything...havent hunted for a few years and when i did it was outta houston....

well ill be the first to stir the pot then and ask why you have 3 dogs when you havnt even hunted, and why you picked those 3 breeds of dogs?

well my pit mix is a rescue and likes to likes to chase things...my dogos are puppies still and i know that there parents are great hunters.... the reason i have them is as for pets as im a dog person.. I have tagged along on quiet afew coon hunts and just though bigger game is better and might be alil more of what im looking for...not sure if my dogs are even right for this just looking into what is out there and have been following posts for the last couple of weeks so i thought i would stop looking and see about it... just think it might be fun...

i got them from a buddies friend that had a kennel a year or so and closed down due to family issues and their dogs got stuck and i got mine from that litter...if im thinking right the mother was just for breeding but the daddy was an import...

well you got some good dogs.. dogos are great hunting machines if trained right.....you will need a tracking device on them. for once them dogs catch on to what u are doing . they should make great hunters.....but if u dont protect them rite.. they will not make it long.. just my experince with dogs... i know they get pretty pricey.....but them dogs have been bread for this....but if u dont have a place to hunt them.. u might have spent to much.......just my thought......good luck on starting to hunt with them. i just strarted my own pack.and its not easy finding places to hunt with dogs... ihave found some places to hunt my dogs. but its not easy.... and alot of hog hunters. wont tell you where they go . cause they dont want anybody there. except them and their dogs... i have heard of paying guys to hunt with them or on their land they hunt... if u got the money for that......im in north texas.... and im always looking for more places to hunt....im not a pro at this. like sum of these guys and girls on here.. but im not going to let that stop me at alll.......im kinda new to this also. but ive been on lots of hunts with my buddy and his dogs.... it will get u hooked once ur dogs start to do what u want....... that first pig they get on u will remmeber ...cause u will see what ur dogs are starting to do.. juts my thought.... im always looking for advice from others just like u....

Your original post was around 10 am this morning...give it a little time and consider being more specific with questions, folks will answer.

The best advice I can give you is to find someone that's close to you that's been doing this a while and see if they'll let you tag along with them to learn.

man the best advice i can give you is to find someone willing to take you...leave your dogs at home at first...learn the ropes and rite way of things...be honest and dont step on toes or stab ppl in the back thats the easiest way to get shunned in the hogdog world...and remain open minded about breeds of dogs hunt what you want and like once you get a few places to go not what someone says you "NEED"...and remember ppl arent going to give you their best dog and never buy growns dogs without a trial and seing them hunt with the seller first...just watch your back not everyone is bad but there are those who will take advantage of your inexperience

Ftwdogo, sounds like you're off to a good start.
Find someone to go with, keep an open mind, be willing to do anything told and LISTEN.
I don't know you but it sounds like you need help and are willing to learn.
I'd suggest you keep reading, watching and listening and when you are 100% ready move to step 2.
Post a new thread, introducing yourself and call out on anyone close to Fort Worth.
Title it "Ft. Worth area, looking for hunting buddies".
Someone will post up and make it clear that you just want to tag along, be shown the ropes and be as hepful on the hunt as you could possibly be.
This is by far the best hog hunting site and there are a lot of great people that wouldn't mind you tagging along.
One more piece of advise, while in the woods learning, you'll learn a lot if you truly listen.
As long as you listen and provide a helping hand, you will make great lifelong friends and learn a bunch.
