Went to a new place yesterday. The land owners went with us.
We turned out around 4pm. Within the first 30 min the dogs struck one. It was a chase. We finally got a solid bay at about .7 miles. Got closer and let the catch dogs go. Thought it broke but then we heard the squeal. It was about 250+lb sow. She has good size cutters for a sow. She ended up cuttin Duke (catchdog) across the throat. After gettin the dogs away we doctored Duke and left him in the dog box. Now down to one CD
Dogs headed out again and struck another one with in 20 more minutes. About a 80lb sow. Dogs rolled again and struck another one. This time was a group of good size hogs and they broke right after we let Gringo (catchdog) go. He ended up catching one anyways. About 65lb boar.
At this point catch dog was wore out and we were headed to the truck when they struck again. We were trying not to over heat the catch dog.Good thing, The curs caught by themselves.
about a 90lb sow.

By the way - Duke is okay has some stitches and really sore. But should heal just fine.

1st sow. Cut up the catch dog

Duke

This is what put Duke out of business for a little while.

The land owner and his sow he stuck

Thanks.
Florida Cur- She was using them too.

This place hasn't been dogged but once and from what the land owner said it wasn't good. Didn't find any.
She stood there and put up a fight. When she cut the dog she just kept using them. Burrying them. Not a good deal.
But at least we got her. And the dog is okay.
It could of been worse.

I never thought a sow would be the one to cut up a catch dog.
We have been fortunate.
