A buddy (Bo) and me went to a place in Houston county that we have been hunting every week that I am not working. We have caught a few good size hogs out of this place, but none like this. We got to the place at about 9:00am. we made a little round on the hill where we thought they might be since it rained all day monday, and we chased them out of the clear cut sunday. after we figured they werent here we headed towards the clear cut and started walking the roads threw it. We didnt get on anything nor did we see any fresh tracts when we decided to head back up towards the truck. As we turned and headed up the road about 200 yards we saw my buddies old Bmc gibson and my mountain cur gyp Missy take a hard left and all the young dogs fell right in behind them and T-bone (half plott half bmc) was headed up the rear. when me and bo got to where the dogs went in at, we seen a big track so we got ready.,it wasnt long befor they found him. it took them alittle bit to get him stopped and a little back and forth in the clear cut, but when I got close enough to turn my CD BOBO loose he was gone. as soon as i turned him loose the hog broke and run 500 yards back into the pines we were hunting in before they got him stopped. By the time I got there,My buddy Bo is an older guy it took him a little bit longer,my cd bobo was the only thing caught with every thing else backed up bayed, Didnt see old Gibson and my plott pup. he was hooking my cd and all i could do is look at his teeth and get in behind him and leg him. flipped him over and started hollaring to let bo know i have him and that he was a BIGUN. I got his back legs hobbled and front left in a loop when bo got there, the whole time he was trying to hook my cd. we got him hobblrd and tied up and started looking for dogs and found Gibson dead(cut his throat)RIP. he was a good dang good dog.we gathered up dogs and headed to where the land owner brought my truck. All in all there were only minor injuries to my cd and t-bone got the hide cut on his throat and poked in the flank. I know yall are tired of me talking but its not every day you catch something like this with dogs. The final weight the day after was 291# scored 621 in the tusk division. Left tusk 3 1/2 inches 2 1/2 inches around the base, right was 3 inches and 2 1/2 at the base. I would like to thank  all that helped me find someone to score this old guy.
