alot more than i figured there would have been, its a nice outside bay pen got an rv set up there for a concession stand with some tasty lookin hamburgers  Grin 3 judges (1 was from tushka, somewhere in oklahoma, and pottsboro) everyone had to give the texas judge alot of crap lol so if your dog dont win you can blame it on him. they got a 5 sec catch and 15 sec no bark dq rules. it was the first one out there, they got alot of room for improvement but i think it will get better as it comes along i will go back to it. $3 bucks to get in and you automatically get in  a raffle to win money just for goin. im not sure what the payout was for the winners or entry fees. they had a trailer set up for all the hog hunting equip you would need( leads, vest, collars, hobbles) all for real cheap i think it was larry parish trailer

you go w 4 miles on boggy depot road til you get to wards chapel road, you will turn back to the north on that road then about a mile on the left you will see a sign that says hog bay. if you got a gps type in atoka for the town and wards chapel road thats what i did and it got me right there

Hey everyone,

I didn't want to confuse everyone but the ATOKA hog bay and this TUSHKA hog bay are the same place!   Atoka is more convienant and easier to locate if your far off, Tushka is more for all you local boys that know where its at. Either way it doesnt matter I just didnt want any confusion!

Thanks!

hey dangerzone they do have a pup class go to the atoka bay in the bay pen section it is the bay competition and he goes over everything on that. and you cant blame an oklahoma judge you will have to blame it on yourself for getting a texas dog lol jk  Grin

I'm new to hog hunting with dogs and have never been to a baying event but really want to start going to them startin next fall. I have two catahoulas that I got from south Texas. I live in Amarillo and it would not be a problem at all for me to drive the 5 or 6 hours a couple months out of the year with my dogs. What all takes place and how does it work? In the fall I will only be running one of my pups as the other one will be down south getting trained around that time. The only catagorie I'm really interested in right now is the one dog. I figure I can pick up the rest as a start goin to more events.

Thanks, Tobe

The baying is still on guys!!  Yes there are chances of rain but its still early in the week and we are hoping they'll lessen. But if it does rain while the baying is stil goin we will just probly wait it out depending how hard of rain. Saturday May 1st..enter at 8:00 am start at 9:00am. !!

Also to Tobe-- All the categories are listed on the Atoka,OK Hog Baying its the same one just different ways to get to us. But your dog will get 2 minutes in the ring with a hog-- there is a 15 second No Bark disqualification, and a 5 second catch disqualification-- if your dog nips the hog as they turn to run to spin em around that is totally fine.. they just cant stay hooked.  Also, we try to have equal sizes of hogs some are slightly bigger and smaller than others but its nothing drastic.

Everyone Please Check the ATOKA, OK HOG BAYING FORUM.. Its the same Baying just has the Flyer and Categories listed. THanks, ROB
