That's a good hog with a fine lookin set of dogs! Tell me about your catch dog I have a female that looks a lot like him and she catches great.
i got him from deer park animal control for $5. they didnt know his background. i think he is a pit ybmc mix. he barks like a yella dog and when he gets off his clip he will go the distance to find a hog. hes a really smart dog, listens really good. if there are no other dogs messing with a caught hog i can make him sit down next to it, but with close supervision. he is also starting to learn to release on comand, quiet on the wheeler and going into a bay, leads well. im trying to teach him left and right when im walking him through tight stuff in the woods. he will ride for hours in a dog box with other males. oh, and he catches every hog he has seen. his only downside is that he is rough on a hogs ear. |
