Well the pressure was on this morning. Friday I got a call from Cliff telling me that John Barton II and John Barton III wanted to go see what the hog doggin was all about. They own beechgrove Plantation which is around 10,000 acres. I have been hunting with dogs on this place for a couple years now and this was the first time they ever wanted to go , so we wanted to show them a good time and catch a hog. Me, Brandon, JoJO, and Ronald got to beechgrove around 6:30 am and met up with Cliff, John Barton II and John Barton III. I have been hunting it hard lately and the hogs were really spread out. Cliff told us they had been getting pics of a good boar hog hitting a feeder everynight; the only problem was he was coming around 8 pm at night then by 8:30pm he was gone and no more pics. We loaded up and headed that way around 7:30am. When we got there we dropped our two oldest dogs Tex and Lola. They could smell him but it was gonna take them a bit to work it out. They kept checking for his out trail and then about 700 yards out Lola started baying and then was joined by Tex. We knew it was a good hog cause TEX can get rough and they were baying hard. They had him locked down. I grabbed Sambo and Brandon grabbed Kuder and headed that way. We got about 100 yards out and sent the bulldogs. We heard the Hit and a big HUFF and then silence. When we got there the hog was head first in a root ball with dogs hanging off him. As I legged the hog I looked up and saw a huge grin on John Barton III face. We then quickly ran a knive through him and took some pics. The boar cut both the bulldogs but nothing that want heal up. I think we may have some more hog dog fans now. the hog wieghed 210 lbs. root ball boar hog Brandon,JoJO,Me,John Barton II and III,Lola and Tex same group plus Cliff Tex,Brandon and lola Tex, Me, and Lola 210 lb hog
